In Germany, opportunities are available through the Ausbildung system. Ausbildung allows individuals to gain practical skills and knowledge in various fields while earning a salary. It is a unique vocational training programme where participants work for a company and receive on-the-job training combined with theoretical education at vocational schools. This enables individuals to apply what they learn in real-world work settings and earn a steady income throughout their training.

LEVELS

Different levels of proficiency in the German language are recognised. By mastering these levels, you will be able to communicate in a basic way; you will be able to discuss yourself and your surroundings.

German Language Level: A1

  • A1 can understand and use everyday expressions and sentences relating to satisfying concrete requirements. They can introduce themselves and others and ask others about themselves – e.g. where they reside, who they know, and what they own – and can respond to questions of this form. They can also communicate in a simple manner if the person they are speaking with is willing to assist and speaks slowly and clearly.

German Language Level: A2

  • A2 can understand sentences and commonly used expressions associated with topics directly related to their immediate circumstances (e.g., personal information or information about family, employment, and immediate surroundings). And Can communicate effectively in basic, routine situations involving a straightforward exchange of information on familiar topics. In addition, he or she can briefly describe their background and education, immediate surroundings, and other factors related to present needs.

German Language Level: B1

  • B1 can understand the major points when clear, standard language is used and focuses on familiar topics from work, school, leisure time, etc. It can handle the majority of situations typically encountered by travellers in the region. Can communicate clearly and coherently on familiar topics and areas of personal interest. They can talk about experiences, events, dreams, hopes, and goals and make short statements to explain or defend their ideas and plans. If you finish levels A1, A2, B1, and B2, you'll be able to understand and talk German fluently.

German Language Level: B2

  • B2 can understand the main ideas of complex texts on concrete and abstract topics and also knows specialised discussions in their primary area of specialisation. And it can communicate so naturally and fluently that it is easy to have a regular chat with a native speaker without a lot of work on either side. Can communicate clearly and in detail about a wide range of topics, explain their position on a current problem, and point out the pros and cons of different options.

How difficult is German B2?

Level B2 is not difficult if you are well-trained and willing to put in some effort. Grammatical structures get a little difficult if you've not studied languages other than your mother tongue. However level B2 is not considered an advanced level like C1 and C2.
